Had a blast creating a video series for DXE Medial recently! They wanted two videos to help support what they do, which is to provide life saving medical devices such as new and recertified AEDs, Defibrillators, EKG, Vital Signs Monitors, etc… to clients around the globe. The request included a docuementary-styled “about us” video as well as a short form narrative video that focused on their service division brand, 2nd Life Biomedical. I love how well these turned out:

We really love when companies showcase these on their main page since staunch research shows that people back out of websites fast: less than ten seconds on a website if something doesn’t catch them. With a video present, people stay EXPONENTIALLY longer!

We’ve been mucho busy with various types of video production lately. Recently, we completed production on 3 videos for Veterans Auto. Robert Hollingsworth and his team of mechanics are solid. Off the subject a bit, I’ve had two recent issues with two different vehicles and tried him out. Outstanding service and pricing was highly competitive. At any rate he requested video production for a television commercial, a longer formed web video and a testimonial video. Here they are (I think they turned out great, but will let you decide).

Video Production #1: 2 Minute “About Us” Web Video

Since research shows that the majority of people spend less than ten seconds on a website if something doesn’t catch them (Yup, 10 seconds! 17% will spend less than 4 seconds), but they are willing to spend 2.7 minutes watching a video online. Video is powerful. It’s important to grab them with something that’ll help them stay. That’s why we wanted video production on the two minute web video. Robert also wanted a television spot which has already began airing. Here it is:

Video Production #2: 30 Television Commercial

Redwood made certain to showcase the Veterans Auto website url so that when the commercial airs, an interested viewer would be able to head on over to the website! And then be able to view the “about us” extended commercial.

Lastly, Redwood wanted to make certain we had great testimonials to showcase on the right side of Veteran Autos mainpage. Again, these are only just completed so they aren’t yet up on the site at the writing of this post. But here’s the video production on that.

Recently we were fortunate enough to get a call for our video production company to shoot a 125 acre farm outside of Nashville. The place was gorgeous! Check out the video!

Demo Reels are funny. We’ve been working on a new reel and it’s always tough to know what to stuff in that 2 minute or less video. That said, we thought we’de put some old footage of international travel, some short film work, aerial footage, commercial work. We wanted to put in more corporate video, interviews, and behind the scenes footage we shoot, but alas… 2 minutes or less is not much time. Hope you enjoy, though!

We were commissioned by our friends over at Chuck Knows Church (a fun and informative weekly series about the stuff in church) to create a behind the scenes look. Firstly, I personally had a blast. Secondly, I personally LOVE telling stories with moving pictures. Shot on our Canon 7D, 30mm 1.4 prime, slider on scene, audio on the zoom h4n with a rode mic, cut in FCP 7. Have a look!
